Simultaneous submissions are pieces that are submitted to more than one publication at the same time. Many literary magazines and academic journals allow for simultaneous submissions under the condition that if the piece is accepted elsewhere, the writer/artist take it upon themselves to notify the other journals—as the majority of publications do not allow for previously published work.
